Doc Watson, the original North Carolina hill billy. This guy was amazing. He and his buddies came up with bluegrass.... still lives in the Smoky mountains, which look just like most of Australia's mountains.Oh... and he was completely blind. Always had been. His sister was also blind. recessive genes are a bitch! But he seemed to manage alright.
I Started this ride today at sea level. Bit of a climb but isn't it amazing! We finished on a beautiful beach just north of San Francisco, dirking beer and eating Sicilian olives.. Yum. Yeah Ell I found some here. Wish you were here to eat them with me :)
